Logical and practical Stretch |
The human body build on hundreds of skeletal muscles.
A muscle sticks from bone to bone (or miofascia), and moves a joint by
contraction.
A joint consists of several muscles, contracted severally and jointly.
Each muscle works as a whole. As an example, when you raise only one finger,
every muscle contracts in some degree.
The range of motion of every joint is very important. The wider, the smoother. You are going to get the flexible body, little by little.
The "360° stretch" means to enlarge muscles in every direction, making a change of angle bit by bit.
Each position will stretch the different muscles. Therefore, you know where is the problem.
Logically you can examine your body, and practically you can enlarge ROM
(range of motion) of every joint.
It will produce you a good posture and quick movement.

Knock; How to do |
Try to stretch slowly and carefully against the limit.
As you reach the limit, keep yourself holding for some time, and you will
get over the limit a bit more.
Observe yourself and check your muscles, you will find a painful angle.
Bear for 10 seconds.
If you feel awfully particular pain, try to repeat it 6 times (the total,
1 minute).
The knack is to bear the awful pain taking sufficient time.
Don't worry breaking the joints. Nobody can wring his/her own neck. The unconscious knows the limit. "Try pretty hard, but not too much" is a key to advance.
*The model, "Rikachan" is a Japanese dress-up doll for little
girls, who has narrow ROM . Please make up with your imagination to practice.

A: Standing stretch on one leg combined with muscle training |
Imagine your trunk, right leg and left leg as 3 "columns". Stretch the rim of the columns toward 360°. Change the angle bit by bit. Standing leg and trunk are the axes, hold firmly, and you will train the muscles for keeping posture.

B: Lying stretch on the floor or bed |
Lying on the floor, stretch various muscles toward 360°. You feel easy because it is freedom from pressure of gravity. If you do it in sleeping intervals in the bed, you will sleep again relaxed, though you suffer from insomnia.

C: Sitting stretch on the floor |
Sitting on the floor, stretch various muscles toward 360°. The floor is the ruler. You can measure your progress by the floor.
